Come and join Karuna and Angela in the devotional practice of chanting the Hanuman Chalisa. This 40-verse prayer, composed by Goswami Tulsidas, is dedicated to Lord Hanuman as the embodiment of the power of devotion. The program takes place in the Ashram’s “Cosmic Temple.”
Karuna Devi met her Guru Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati in 1972 and has been a lover of Sanskrit and the practice and art of meditation ever since. Serving as an Ashram teacher for many years, Karuna especially enjoys sharing the teachings through chanting.
Angela Hassan is a human being whose daily practice is chanting the divine names. Whether she is chanting alone, with one person, or a group, her intent is to come home to the heart, to our true nature, to love. Angela currently resides in the Hudson Valley and shares Kirtan often at yoga studios, retreats and for special events.
